Ok, I think i am the worst electrician wanna-be! Reading the instructions on the mini-maxx, says there is a purple wire bundle with the PTO wires by the OBD-II port...found no solid purple but some purple with different tracer colors. My test light does not come on when i test any of these with ignition on. The codes say a VT for ignition 10A on the factory bundled wires.... 2010 F350 with upfitter switches....suggestions to get to the 12V ignition for wiring up the tuner that stays hot during engine cranking? And yes...foaming at the mouth to go to the dark side...help most appreciated - Thanks
RM2738 - Thanks....I have more than the 8-10 wires, the purple ones I can not get any type of voltage across them...in my albums, I took a picture of the wires...99% sure these are the ones....yes? Thanks....

That's them. You prob won't get voltage. It's not what actually provides power to the Mini Maxx. It just sends a signal to turn on. The mini Maxx has a switch on the OBDII block that keeps it on or turns on with the ignition signal.

Yep...I am definitely missing the purple wire....looked at my buddy's '09 and he has the specific purple wire for a total of 16 wires...I have 15...I think the factory ran out of purple wire....plan b

You may be able to use the OBDII block to turn it on manually when you want it on. It doesn't have to be on to function. Only when you upload or need the gauges.
