Wiring Issues

I was putting my dash back together here and as I was testing some of the electrics in it as it went back together when I felt the main string of wires from the fan switch area to about the ignition area got hot. So I unwrapped the tape off it and started feeling wires. I figured out it is the red wire with a green stripe that goes to the ignition that was heating up. Also I found out while playing with it that it only heats up when the key is turned to the running position. So I messed around with the wires and could not find any faults with them, so I,m at a loss here as to why they are heating up. So I,ve got to ask if you all might have a diagnosis or do they just get this hot when the truck is running? Thanks for any input.

Does anyones red wire with a green tracer coming out of the ignition switch get hot when you turn the truck on?

There is a 46" length of Pink resistor wire wrapped up in that harness before it turns into Red/green wire.

Resistance creates heat.
