heat is always a friend when trying to remove stubborn stuff.
if all else fails brake an old line that's going in the scrap pile anyway in order to get a 6 point socket on her.
do yourself a favor and order a backup seal kit just in case.

oh yeah, and i was just double checking towcats info posted on obn.
you'll also need the F-super duty brake pedal for your '91.
this way you don't end up like me with too much effort required to push the dang thing.
no part # differences with the 92-97's and still info as to why it's just not right.

eatont9999 Any tricks to getting off brake lines that are stuck on but not rusty?
Sears: Online department store featuring appliances, tools, fitness equipment and more
crafts is as good as any set I know of get the metric or sae whichever is on your truck (I have seen both on various Ford trucks) also make sure you use a second wrench to back up the fitting you are loosening .

I'll have to pick up a set of metric line wrenches and see if they fit better than the SAE set I have now.
Thanks for the tips, guys. I'll keep y'all updated.

yeah the seal kit comes with the reservoir anyway.it's just you don't want to mess up any o-rings like i did and be stuck waiting for another just in case.not fun lol.
you might luck out and find the local dealer cheaper on the res.id be surprised though even with shipping.around here they're outright ridiculous with prices and are always a last resort.you'll see it's not hard to figure out.i remember one of the o-rings in the kit wouldn't work and keeping my old one was an absolute must.good thing it was still good.it was one of on the large inlet fitting.it had some sort of taper or flat spot,or something not just an "o-ring" per say that was supplied in the kit with the new res.so i suppose it's twice the reason to buy the f250/350 pump seal kit too.perhaps the right o-ring for that comes with it.

Yeah, heat & PB are your friends. Ideally, try to heat what the fitting is screwed into more than the fitting itself. You want the the threaded hole to expand more than the male fitting...
F250- did you ever figure out what the difference in the pedal assemblies is? I couldn't find any difference between the ones in my F350 & the FSD, though it'd hard to get good measurements with them installed in the trucks...

nope.the 92-97 f-series all use the same brake pedal, hydroboost or vacuum.they didn't give the F-super duty a devoted pedal.i guess they didn't care about f450's having a decent pedal feel these years.i dunno.does your new f450 seem like it takes a lot of effort to press on the brake? kinda like half manual brakes, half assist or something? technically speaking, you should have an even firmer pedal than i do with the larger f450 master even.

The hydroboost on my FSD takes a little more pressure than vacuum, but just a little. No where near to manual brakes. I didn't really even notice it until I read one of your posts, and compared it to my F250. The difference might have just been because the FSD is heavier than the F250 & needed more brake effort to stop it...

In all of your research, did anyone come up with a MC that would fit directly onto the Hydroboost unit without whittling out the mounting holes? I know that you could use F450 unit to it but the bore is a little bit bigger than the F350.

Money is tight right now. Does anyone have a lead on a good used hydroboost with all the parts I need? Ebay seems to have a lot of them for Mustangs but I don't think that does me any good. I will call the local yard and ask but last time I asked for anything, I was told they didn't have any Diesel trucks on the lot.

the f450 unit is a direct bolt on. no widening of the holes needed. if you go 90 and older its a cast iron piece. but remember the f450 is setup for front and rear disc so your rear brakes wont work well
