2005 Automatic V10, Adding Remote Start?
A local store has a buy one get one free remote start, its really not an amazing deal because the price is jacked way up, but a buddy asked me if I wanted to split the cost of 1 unit and we can each get one for 1/2 price. That makes it a pretty good deal. It would be about $80 for the unit plus BASIC installation. Its JUST remote start, no alarm, and no keyless entry. But my question is, basic install mean splice wires where required, thats it. There are notes saying many cars now require additional relays and and immobilizer bypass (and extra $50-$100 in parts). I like to know what I need going into a suituation like this so I know I dont get ripped off.
Can anyone who has had a remote start put in let me know what additional parts were required, if any?

I have a 2004 F350 with the V10 and I have had a remote start since the truck was new, only issues I have had was with the remotes and the place where I had it installed (zebarts) just exchanged them for new ones!!!
