Trouble checking codes
I have a 2000 Ex Limited 7.3. How do I check for codes? Plugged in a reader and the port under the dash was dead. Can anyone help?

Check your fuses. Most likely, your cigarette lighter is dead, too.

Had the same problem with mine. Changed the cigarette lighter fuse was able to check my codes. Not sure about the 7.3 but my 6.8L had to have the key in the run position too.

Got it. Thanks guys. Got it working only to find out the predator they gave me was locked. No biggie
