Viper or Cobra cant be beat both are made by DEI (Directed Electronics, Inc.) They can be set up to turn glow plusgs on for a preset amount of time before the start, have a cool down timer too. Last winter when I was out of town in freezing weather with bad glow plugs, I set it to start every two hours and run for 10 mins to keep some heat in the motor so I could get an early start the next morning. Great products! I had mine professionally installed but I belive they can be installed by an individual.

i have an autopage two way system. I dont have remote start on mine since my truck is a manual but they do offer the feture with WTS timer. I have had it for a couple years now and have had zero problems with it. If someone hit my vehicle while i was away from it when i unlock it the key fob tells me one of the shock senors had been triggered. I like costa had it professionally installed. just seems like a good idea to me.

I have a Viper, and I am still trying to figure out what wires to wire where.??
I vote for the professional install, hard to access the correct info otherwise without a dealer helping. I bought off Amazon, new. This one's biting me!
But, experience through the years has said Vipers are good.
