HELP; Verify Leaf Spring, via numbers on spring itself

Any chance anyone has the info, to verify a set of springs??

They are supposedly from a Ford F350, rear set.

Numbers in white on the spring;
"Made in Mexico 25823 5-17

Numbers also on the spring;
Spring 1: "RPN-1457 25823547"
Spring 2: "RPN-1437 25823547"

Any chance these can be identified with just the above??

I'm drawing a blank. They don' look like Ford Part Numbers. They started too a little after your second post, but not really. The Numbers on the spring should look like "PM2C345A975CB" NOT to say that the springs you have are not from a Super-Duty, just none of it jives with me.

Not much of it jives with me, or my local Ford Parts guy either.

These rear springs "RPN 2432 2C34 CB" I know came from a 2003 F250 XLT 7.3 turbo diesel 2WD. Does that help me any??

Thats what I get in the listing for springs from Ford. Only 2 rear springs for a F-250 in that year. The F-350 offer different numbers but still none of it jives. Where did you get these mystery springs from?

... haven't got them yet. They are on my local craigslist. And had been conversing with the owner of the springs. Came from his parted out vehicle.

So, via your findings... they could be one of two spring types... which is what codes? (Sorry, I'm on my phone at the doctors office and cant look up the info)

Spring hunting on the used market is a pain in the ****!

Got ya... thank you.

So, all in all I should nab this spring pack. Worst case, it's a P Code and I remove the aux spring... making it a B code. Or would each individual leaf in the P Code pack be thicker then the B Code?

I cant say for sure. As long as they are a matching pair of springs will it matter?

Mmm... Don't think so. It will in the ride, and the ultimate reason I'm doing all this searching. So, ya... I guess it'd matter. But how much, I don't know. I'll find out once they're installed.

... now the search is on for Front V Codes.

Thanks for your help.

Correct... it's not uncommon for us EX owners, to swap the EX Springs for Truck Springs. It's not just the ride, but handling...etc
