glow plug modulator

glow plug modulator
Ford said the glow plug modulator was bad. I replaced it today and was hoping the check engine light would go out. Its still on. Does the light need to be reset somehow?

Once you replace your Glow Plug Control Module, just unhook both batteries for 15 minutes.

The dealer should have done that for you to get the light off !

I had the dealer inspect the X before I bought it I replaced the modulator myself

It's not a modulator. It's a Glow Plug Control Module.

So was mine Stewart.......he said he replaced the glow plug...modulator (module)....not the dealer ....should have quoted.....LOL

No prob. It's the cheap way to reset the SES whenever you've fixed the problem and you don't have a code reader to reset the light.
