Tire Pressure

1999 F250 Super Duty 2WD

I just had a set of Michelin MS/2 265 75 16 10 ply's put on my truck and am trying to work out the tire pressure.

The door says Front kpa 345/50 Rear kpa 414/60

Tires say 550/80psi

Tire installer put 80psi Rear and 55 psi Front

I normally run empty except when towing. 1300lbs hitch weight when towing.

Should I stick with the recommended tire pressure on the door? Or go by the side wall tire rating or what the tire installer used?

Always go by the door sticker. Pretty much all load range E tires have a max rating of 80 psi. You might be able to get away with dropping it a few psi for comfort and treadwear reasons- higher pressure can cause the center to wear sooner.
