I have a 2006 F150 2WD and installed the 2 1/2 metal spacers up front, but didn't like the truck's stance. I added the AAL in the back and it gave that truck look again. The AAl gave me about 1 to 1 1/2 lift which evened it out perfect. Like the others have said though, there was a lot of wheel well showing all around. I put on some 285/70/17 and couldn't be happier.

Truck rides a little stiffer, but since I have some heavy loads and haul a trailer every once in a while, it meats my needs. I did my own installs, and not only was it a lot easier then you would think, it saved a lot of money (enough for a chunk of my tire expens). Maybe sell the stock sized tires or find some good used ones for sale somwhere.

I've read somewhere that the '04-'05 trucks have more rake than the '06-'08 trucks. I put a 2.5" autospring on my '04 and it sits perfectly. If you had an '06+ you would probably want the 2".

The 04-05 have about another 1/2" to 3/4" I believe in the rear then the later models. This is why later models often have to add a block or spring to the rear to raise it just a bit.

Yeah from what I have heard on the 04's and 05's it takes 2.5" to level them and on the 06-08 only 2". I got the 2" leveling struts and am still slightly nose down. Not much though.

I would prefer to have a little bit of rake on my truck. I think your 2" kit looks just right bigunit. I have a 2.5 on my 04 and it sits perfectly level. I wasn't gonna turn down a free 2.5" hell bent steel leveling kit though.

My 04 4x4 long bed has a camper package...it looks ridiculous, I can stick my head in the rear wheel well, and barely get my arm in the front. I'm going for the 2.5" spacers soon !

I installed a Rancho Quik lift and love it. About 2.5" lift on my 8200# GVW truck and adjustable shocks. Leveled it right up and I could tune the shocks to my taste. Then I install a big winch bumper and that it dropped 1+ inches again. If you regularly carry loads (towed or carried), heed the advice about tail dragging. The truck is raked from the factory for a reason... so it goes level with a full load. Running the front end higher than the rear with a load leads to some weight transfer issues. If you've ever, ahem, overloaded your truck to the point there the front is way light to the point that handling is affected, you'll have a taste of the issue.
