I was originally going to use an E-99 spyder, but got frustrated trying to find one.

The shop is nice, it's my Dad's plumbing shop. But I took over a large portion of it... lol. He doesn't mind, he gets access to all my tools and equipment. I have a 94 ranger in the background. It's my off-road rock crawler. Here's my build thread on the ranger. Have fun reading through that bundle of fun!

Those are stock Super Duty plenums. The bolt right on, but you have to weld up a couple holes in the SD plenums that the OBS plenums didn't have.

Are you going to switch back to a stock 1.15 housing or keep the 1.0? The turbo is going to hate you with stage 2's and tuning, especially with the 1.0 housing. I know you can make it last with a 1.15, but not sure about the 1.0. Just thought I'd ask. Good work on the IC piping

The plenums are actually off an international 7.3 from the junkyard. It's origins are unknown to me. May have come out of a Super Duty or a school bus or something else. I JB welded Dimes on top of the extra holes. LOL. Ghetto fab'ed, but works good.

I'm going to stick with the 1.0 housing and try it. Jim at rosewood made a comment a month or so ago that some of his customers have his stage II's and the 1.0 housings and really like it. I don't rev my engine out to 3grand, so we'll see how it does.

I liked the work in the IC piping, you are a master welding. Congrats. And what about the seal between turbo and flange? no leaks?

I only took it for a short run down the street, engine was cold and I didn't push on the fun pedal at all.

Truck runs like a freaking rocket now.

That flange might be leaking. Really hard to tell. I did so much to this truck this week I don't know what normal is anymore.

1.0 housing
IC
stage II's
T-500
PHP chip

Those things will really change a truck. But I heard a swoooooshing sound from the front area. Could be that flange leaking.

What is a good way to test it? Wrap a thin plastic bag around it and see if it is torn when I romp on the throttle?

Build a "boost leak detector" out of PVC pipe, a cap and a valve stem. Attach that to the intake system and hit the system with compressed air. I usually regulate the air down to around 30-35psi. Spray the spots you want to check for leaks with soapy water, and watch for bubbles while your feeding it with air.
