Does FORD make this van?

I am looking for a 2011-12 Ford E250 or E350 WAGON... ,V10, regular wheel base(not extended ), 4 captain chairs, one rear bench. All leather. I see that configuration in the E150......
Can this be special ordered?

Ford makes an E350 (no more E250) with a V10. The V10 is not available in the E150. There is only one wheelbase for all Ford vans, but there is an extended length van, which I assume is what you do not want.

They don't give a lot of detail on available seating on the website, but it looks like you can get four captains chairs. I *think* there is one bench behind that, but it really doesn't say. A dealer would have more information.

Suggest you pick up "a 2011-12 Ford" E-Series sales brochure at a dealership & familiarize yourself with the factory options & nomenclature. Can help you get on the same page.

For instance, when you ask "Does FORD make this van?" you also run into how FORD differentiates E-Series models. To FORD "van" means cargo van - vehicles w/only 2 front seats & any windows behind front doors are all optional.

FORD calls a window/passenger model a "wagon" - formerly Club Wagon. 2011 E-Series wagon options include 7, 8, 11, 12, 14 & 15 passenger seating configurations. But the 4 captain chair 3-passenger rear bench leather seat option is shown only for E-150.

FORD dealer can tell you if it can "be special ordered".

I have been to 2 dealers in the last year. E-150 does not come with V10. E350 does. V10 comes with a 5-speed transm only, as opposed to 4.6 and 5.4 that come with 4-speed.

The dealer can special order that seating arrangement from upfitters. Another option is to special order it from a Conversion Van dealer. It should not be a big deal.

Third Option -- you can buy just leather seats like you want in several places now. Maybe even a bigger selection this way.

Note: the 2011 FORD E-Series brochure still offers the E-250 Commercial "van".

The V10 is shown exclusively in E-350.

Just to be clear, for 2011 the E-350 did not actually "come with V10" or "with a 5-speed". The 2011 E-350 "comes with a" 5.4 motor & 4 speed. The V10/5-speed drive train is optional on E-350.

Just to be clear, for 2011 in E-Series the 4.6 was no longer offered.

Correct.

Incorrect. The 5.4 is optional for the E-150, although it is irrelevant to the original poster.

I'd prefer a E250 wagon. Looking for the 7 passenger. I tow every now and then and Im always loaded up with kids and equipment. So I don't think the E150 wagon with the 5.4 is enough.

What kind of gas mileage
Are the 5.4's getting. And the V10's with the 5 speeds?

My mistake. FORD changed how they published E-Series specs. They'd been using black circles, half black circles & empty circles to indicate Standard, Select Availability Optional as recently as 2010. For 2011 they omitted 4.6 from these familiar charts.

Like Mark said, there is no Passenger E250. Cargo yes. Only 150 and 350 for passengers.

With full load and towing, V10's mpg will be about the same as the 5.4. Do some reading here for threads with MPG reports.

I found the 7-passenger van a little cramped when used with 7 passengers on more than 2-3 hours travel, even cargo was on the tow.

Base is with side-swing doors, sliding-door is optional ($ 0).

Wasn't sure it was still "optional ($ 0)". Thanx.

If there's a larger or experienced dealership specializing in commercial Ford vans they might have a great depth of knowledge concerning what's possible to order direct, custom built so to say in your configuration.

I'm simply "thinking" that any seating configuration or trim level Ford has could be ordered on any E van whether it be an E150, E250 or the E350. Naturally I could be in huge error there.

Personally hauling that many people and extra gear along with occasional towing I'd opt for nothing less than the E250. Unless its significantly more money that breaks the budget completely the E350 w/V10 would be my choice for the most utilility and safe driving loaded as you anticipate.

(I'd suggest checking into a heavy duty suspension or at least a rear anti-sway bar------they make a huge difference on E vans!)

Along with a 5 Star tune from Mike including his various selectable tunes you'd have quite the vehicle, up to most any task and still not horrendously terrible MPG's.

Let us know what you eventually select---and we'll want photos too!

You can tune for power, or for fuel economy. There are also settings for fuel grade. Check this forum.
