Hey guys! Winter is fast approaching, and, many of us in the nothern states will be storing our pride and joy for several months. I thought I'd share a couple of ideas for keeping the mice out. They darn near ate my 66 one winter while it was parked outside!
A circle of Comet cleanser on the ground around each tire seems to help a lot. I don't know why, but the little boogers don't like to cross that cleanser,
The last idea I tried came from the rv realm. A guy told me his motorhome was pretty-much mouse food; then, he scattered drier sheets through it. Said the mice vanished! I tried this in my rv, and in my boat. It worked like a charm! Seems like the stronger the stink of these things-the better they work. I used snuggle sheets last year, but I bought store brand this year, because the smell is even stronger.
Hope this helps some of you keep the mice out. I hate the filthy things.
I have heard that cutting up chunks of irish spings soap and putting it in the cab works, also a small container of pinesol cleaner
on the floorboard. I have tried both but I have over 50 pickups setting around and I dont guess I really noticed if it worked well or not. If the smell is what works, the principle would be the same...
