Maybe a nit-picky lil' thing, but my truck is running pretty good, and driving it to work every day, so the lack of a cup holder is bugging me. Sometimes I just set my can on top of the dash, it's nice and flat, but not very secure. A decent aftermarket console you put on the seat is sorta pricey for a good one, and I'm not much of a carpenter. What do you guys do?

I saw where a couple a guys uses an old boot...LOL
Hmm....I don't see why you couldn't fab up a SIMPLE cupholder...
One guy used the center caps from a 92-96 truck, and made them into a set of cupholders...
The universal ones usually sell for around $10-25....Depending...
this just in...police are reporting a rash of thefts around Gotham City this weekend, but strangely, the thefts are limited to the cup holders out of certain Nissans, stumped so far, their only lead has been a few eyewitness accounts of old Ford trucks in the neighborhood the thefts occurred in..
My '84 has red interior..(have a set of door panels if anyone needs them)..I watched Ebay till a red console from a Bronco showed up. Think it was about $30 ..Used a couple bungee cords to fasten it to the seat. Now have cup holders, arm rest, and a storage box..Easily removed for 3 people..
It was very easy. I just cut a little more below the radio and slipped it in. It works well but does obstruct the radio a bit when a drink is in there. It is not enough to bother me though. It is so slim you could make a row of them right under the bottom edge of the dash to hold a whole 12 pack.
For your information... You could always use the factory ones on the inner part of the glove box door. The two round circles are flat spots for cans of soda. Not to be used when the truck is in motion.
It's against the law in some states, (or it was) to eat, drink, and drive at the same time. This includes soda, hamburgers, etc...
when I was a senior in high school it was still perfectly legal to have an open beer in your car in Kansas. Went to get my lifter cover gasket after work, forgot to look for a cup holder. That gasket is my project for tomorrow, I'm leaking and unbelievable amount of oil.

I have ate chili dogs, with a fork, while driving my 88(5 speed) on the outskirts of our little town before not that I condone it or anything, but stuff happens when you party naked.
