05 Excursion no heat

Ive got a 2005 excursion with 6.0 litre diesel problem is as stated. started puking out degas bottle. since ive installed egr delete kit, new water pump, new thermostat but the heater core doesnt get warm at all!!! hoses are only warm not hot and heater core cold to touch, the blend door operating correctly. any help?

there is a coolant hose right over the top of the passenger side valve cover there is 1 valve in the line the valve hass a vacuum hose to it this valve turns ON/OFF the coolant flow to the heater core

make shure the vacuum line is plugged in and not damaged

here is a pic its the valve thats circled

The heater control valve defaults to open if the vacuum line is disconnected. You should check it anyway, but what you need to do is have someone turn the heat off, and watch to see the valve close. Then turn the heat on, and watch to see the valve open. You'll need to do this with the key on so that the vacuum pump can run if it needs to.

What no one has pointed out though, is that puking is more often a sign of leaking head gaskets, not an EGR cooler. I'd be looking to make sure I'd fixed the original problem as well.

I didnt know the valve Defaults to Open thanks for the clarifaction David I send some reps your way if the Rep Gods will approve it

Has the Oil cooler Ever Been changed
What Is the ECT vs EOT spread
Aplugged oil cooler may cause Puke issue

What Kinda EGR deleate is it??? I hope your EGR Valve is still plugged in!!
