the current super duty albeit with some cosmetic changes is the same platform that was introduced in '98, since then dodges has come out with 2 totally different models. GM completely changed their truck too in that timeframe. however ford just keeps making the same body style super duty, heck even the f150 has changed since. I think the superduty's body style is really starting to look dated, when is ford going to update it.
Pretty much all that's left of the original 99s is the door skins. Bed sides, dually fenders, tailgate, the whole front end, all the badges, mirrors and wheels are all different. It's always going to look kind of like a pickup truck, so what do you want, a new cab shape?
Newer doesn't make it prettier. The fisheyed '08 sealed beam headlights are hideous, functional or not. I don't keep up with Dodge and Chevy trim updates, but there are a lot of ugly late model duallies running around with those weird punched out bedsides. The new Ford ones are ugly too, should have kept the Large Marge hips like the first gen SDs.
They shouldn't touch the driveline at all. The axles and frame are the best going in the market right now, going smaller, thinner and lighter means GVWRs go in the wrong direction.

I want a TRK to look like a TRK! If I'd wanted something more woosie I'd have bought a Chevy that doesn't even ride like a TRK it just mooshes (like a car) it's self down the road. The only Chevy I liked driving was my Corvette, (1965 396 CI 425 HP Close Ratio 4 Speed) & I still have my original window sticker off of it.

I think every time they change it , it gets worse. My 97 looked best to me. BTW (1966 427 425hp, rally red roadster, M21, side pipes) here but hasnt run in years.

And that's why I love them, because they have stayed the same over the years. You can probably make a door from a '99 fit on a '11 and I know the tailgates can be swapped around as well. Mirrors also swap easily. I guess the door handles and locks still have the same vulnerabilities. It's like being able to buy a 1999 body style with 2011 convenience, technology and powertrain. Apart from the Ranger and the Crown Victoria, both gone as of this year, you can't really say that about any other vehicle.
I want a sharp bend where the A-pillars meet the roof, a flat roof, a straight up cab back window, and the daylight door style beltline.

Just curious, what does "TRK" mean?

You'll have to explain the daylight doors to those not familiar with KW nomenclature.
i think the '08-present trucks look NOTHING like the the late '90's/early '00's SD's. i was ~7 years old when i saw the first gen SD's and i loved the look of them. i still do and allways will. personally i don't like the look of the front of the new 6.7L equiped trucks.
What stops them from making major body changes is big money, give you an idea just a redesigned door (1 side) total tooling cost soft and hard is many millions of dollars. This is what I did for a living for 36 years before retiring. Ford F series, Econoline, Bronco, Explorer.
