Swapping side mirrors out

I have a 2000 F350 DRW with the telescopic mirrors and want to swap them out with the ones that have the amber lights/turn signals on them? I think it was 2008 that had that option.

Has anyone tried it before? And where can you get them?

THere are plenty of write-ups on how that is done. You can use any of the mirrors from 2003+ AFAIK, depending whether you want them the same shape are yours of the more square shape of the newer trucks.

where do you find these mirrors? What Jobber has them for sale?

You can get them off eBay, Craigslist, salvage yard, or discountautomirror.com. I would recommend going OEM with those mirrors. I was lucky to get a set from a fellow member when he upgraded his.
