2000-01 Explorer Advice
Hello,
Don't know if this is the right place for this post, but here goes! I plan on buying some new wheels, and I think I have it narrowed down. 2000-01 Explorer Eddie Bauer, 4.0 SOHC, selectable 4x4. Just wondering what one should look out for in this vintage, any outstanding issues w/powertrain; anything. Plan on towing a 2 place snowmobile trailer- hoping it will handle it O.K. Did these years have any campaigns/recalls(other than tires)/bulletins I should make sure got taken care of before warranty is up. Thank you very much in advance!!
BTW- How are the 4.0's on gas??vs power?
Have a 96 1/2 ton 302 ,aod ,3.73's 4x4 and I think its a pooch.
