alright, so I just started the truck up and the the idle was unstable again. It seems to be worse when the truck is idling. After I drive it for a while it seems to go away. Can someone point me in the right direction for the next step? This is all started after running out of fuel. Is there anyway I could have gotten air stuck somewhere? What else could I have hurt from running it out of fuel? It doesnt seem to run badly at all, although my mileage isnt that good. But its a dually and Ive been running back and forth to work which is all stop and go.
How many miles have you driven it since running out of fuel and then changing the ICP.
What does the fuel pressure do when it is running rough? Does it stay fairly steady or does it jump around a bunch?
Was the idle perfect before or did it have a little miss? Is the rough idle only when the engine is cold? If you shut it down and re-start it after it's warm, is the idle still rough like it is when cold? How cold is it where you're at? Does plugging the truck in for a few hours first make it idle better?

I've driven it about 30 miles since the icp. It seems better now. I was mad at her the other night and I mashed the throttle the whole way home. It seemed to flatten out well. The issue seems to happen at idle when the truck is warm, not cold. It did it ever so slightly yesterday....but not today at all. Is there any way that I could have gotten air in an injector or Line that just needs time to run out? It seems to be getting better. This morning it seemed normal.
I'm leaning towards an injector miss maybe....when I romp on her, it seems to help the idle as well. The true is running fine, yestetday it ran the best it ever has....
No you don't need to fill the HPOP. Changing the ICP could have gotten some air in the injector rails. Since your problem seems to be worse when warm, it could also be worn o-rings on the injectors or IPR. Was there any sign of oil in the fuel filter bowl when you changed it?
I'd drive it some more first. It typically takes 50 miles or more to work air out of the rails.
