Towing Set up

Hi Everybody. I am setting my truck up for towing. It is rated up to 8700 lbs. I bought a class IV receiver hitch (10,000 lbs), but need a heavy duty ball mount. does anybody have a class IV ball mount for sale? If not, do you know a good place to buy one. I am not in a hurry, so I may wait until the spring when the swaps start up. I have a stainless steel class III ball mount to swap if anybody needs it for a boat towing situation. Thanks, Jag

Thanks Dale, I was actually hoping somebody would have an extra one that was used or that they wanted to trade for. That shiney stainless is nice!

I'll keep looking, and if necessary, my last resort will be paying full price for one in the store. Jag

Good News! I got my class IV ball mount and ball this weekend. In October, Tognotti's held their annual car show. In the huge raffle, I won one of the grand prizes which was an intake spacer from Airaid. Unfortunately, Airaid refused to honor the gift certificate because it was a copy. Tognotti's called me last week and said that they would give me one out of their stock instead. I asked if I could substitute the ball and ball mount. They said sure considering the price was half of the intake spacer's price.

Now, all I need is a big trailer to tow.

Sweet deal, and BOO on Airaid. They have lost my business. Not that they ever had it, but I won't buy anything from them after hearing this story.

For my Christmas present I bought myself a step hitch cover to match my steps: eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices It's like a mini bumper to project my regular bumper.
