I just wanted to thank every one for their input. Especially Greg and Kent, you guys were a huge help. I had the pinion seal replaced today at the shop where Greg previously had his pinion seal replaced. According to the mechanic, the pinion seals will harden over time and need replacing. The hardened seal can also cause a groove in the yoke. I chose to have a speedy sleeve put over the groove, instead of replaceing the yoke. The speedy sleeve was a recommendation from the shop, and they said the sleeve could easily last 100,000 miles.
