What all is involved in putting on a set of oem sway bars off of another f150? Their both 4x4 and the same year. What all has to come off? And what bushings will i want to replace?
The rear should be straightforward...just need to transfer the axle mounts and the swaybar end links. I think the front bar is a little more involved. I seem to remember a discussion about the #1 crossmember...curved vs. straight, so that might present an issue. Also, the lower spring perch is the anchor point for the front swaybar end link, so if you're putting a front bar on a truck that originally didn't have one, the lower perches would have to be swapped out. Not a deal-killer IMO, but a PITA to be sure.
My truck didnt have them from the factory. I dont have the lower perch or the front crossmember.
Where can i get that lower perch at? Also how do aftermarket ones attach? I looked on lmc and they didnt have the lower perch or an aftermarket one to fit the trucks without the front sway bar.
Im only wanting them because i may be installing a lift kit on a pavement princess and i would like to cut down on the body roll. So i would already hav the springs off to install the lift and i could just swap in the perch.
The front spring perches with swaybar are different
Ford #'s F2TZ-5A307-C and F2TZ-5A307-D
The crossmember was an F2TZ-5C128-A.
Unfortunately, they're all discontinued from Ford.
BTW the "crossmember" was really just a bolt in piece of heavy sheetmetal-not really a crossmember in the normal sense.
