Gold to Black & Roof rack delima/issue
I converted my 05 X white and gold EB to a satin black finish on the wheel wells, door moldings, bumbers, grill and door handles. I swapped out the stock crome wheel caps and put some flat black ones on (not sure I like the look there yet). I had the (usless) roof rack removed and just plug the holes w/some set screws for the time being. I would like to put a new rack up there that looks stock and is somewhat functional. I'm thinking about a 07 Expedition EL rack from the dealer.
Anybody out there got any experience w/this or can offer any suggestions?
I also took off the stock running boards (anybody need a set?) and replaced them w/the AMP power step. Love em!
It's a nice day up here in motown. I'll get the armor-all out and post some pics if anyone is interested interested in the "no blink x". No offence to you after market junkies!

murdered out? lol. I am curious about another roof rack that might fit as well. Or even another roof rack where the x members might fit. I took off the stock ones after I realized they were scuffing the paint. They were useless anyway. I wouldn't mind finding something in a junkyard that might work to mount my skis on this winter.

Gonna do the same Harley head lights as well and some smoked tail lights. You should consider the black door handles. They look really bad ***.
I'm waiting til sping to do new wheels and tires. Still got about 10 to 15k left on my toyos. What did you for wheels and tires? Is it lifted? I'm thinking about a 3".

$900 for the parts and $160 to install. If you get them make sure you go to a guy that's a dealer and installer. Amp has a list on their web site.

You can post them to an online photo host like photobucket or even facebook (if you make the gallery public) and then you right click on the image, select "copy image location." On this forum, you click reply, click the "go advanced" button at the bottom of the screen, and click the thing that looks a little picture in the menu above the text box. It will pop up a little box that says "enter image URL." you click paste, and then hit enter. When you hit reply, the image should show up in the thread.
