For the first time I had my new Droid 3 hooked up via bluetooth I was very much surprised that it was giving me txt message alerts on the truck's screen. I do not see why the think that's any better then looking at it on the phone's screen. Needless to say that was one option that was disabled pretty quickly.
Why oh why did they put that option on there? People do stupid things on the road when they aren't distracted as it is.
It's not suppose to work while the truck is in motion.
Alert, who sent it and a preview of the text all came up. Twice. I wouldn't have minded just an alert with maybe the name, but a preview of the text? Come on.

I would have disabled it as well. Don't need to be reading no stickin' text while driving.
I don't know if it's due to the particular phone that I have that might have other options enabled or what, but I was getting this big box notifications that told me who it was from, and one line of preview.
I was like "what the hell....", I didn't know what to make of it as I didn't know that my phone would have been one that it would have worked on and bam there it was. Not once, but twice.
