Ok and you can get both of those at any parts store right?
DieselKleen you can get at most parts stores, Wal-Mart...or my personal favorite a Tractor Supply/Orshlins/Atwoods type of store (usually cheaper there too). The Ford/Motorcraft you may or may not find at a parts store...usually on the dealership carries it. But there are exceptions to that line of thinking
So it doesn't have to be motorcraft brand? I just want to make sure because i know that a lot of the products have to be motorcraft on the trucks. Ijust don't want to have any problems.
no, diesel kleen is a well, known and utilized product by alot of forum members, and if you use anything else just make sure it doesn't contain alcohol

That's only on the filters and parts. You don't have to run Motorcraft fluids, they just need to be to OEM spec for a long happy life.

btw, how many quarts of transfluid did you end up replacing?
I replaced 8 quarts of transmission fluid. I can definately feel a difference in the way it shifts too. Or maybe I should say I can't because u can barely feel it shift It was definately time to be done the truck is a year old to me now and I don't know when the last time it was changed by the last owner. I think the truck is definately happy now
