block heater issues
i recently bought a diesel truck it came with a block heater, now its getting cold out and i went plug it in a it pops the circuit right away (onside note i had to put a new male side plug on it i tried it out on a electric razor and the charge light came on the razor) any who i was wondering if somebody could tell me the steps to go through to fix this issue

It shouldn't matter how you hooked the plug up as long as you put the wire that's the odd color on ground. Should be 2 blacks and 1 white or opposite. Check the plug on the heater its self. above the oil fiter. If its the 7.3

If you plug your heater into a GFI circuit (normal for outdoor outlet), you will pop the breaker instantly. I had to plug into an non-GFI circuit inside the garage to warm "Stinky" up for those cold mornings.

I find that false, We have 2 12 garage wires directly from the breaker box. ground is grounded to a normal outlet in my garage. I plug 2 trucks in it plus a 30 amp camper, haven't seen it blow yet
