Here's the deal, purchased a "new" truck, a 1976 F350 custom. Did run and has approx 300000+ KMS on it. Head gasket went from previous owner. Anti-freeze in oil. Took engine out and rebuilt it, hooked everything up the way it was when purchased. The problem now is that it don't run no power anywhere. A machanic and I came to the conclusion that one of the wires that runs off the power side of the starter solenoid, belive its yellow in color, had the in line fuse blow, replaced it with a new in line fuse but it keeps blowing them now, at 30 amp fuses, and burn marks appear now all over the power side of the solenoid.
Additional notes: when putting the engine back in from rebuild, the negative ground bolt attached to the block broke off, believe it was copper, replaced it with hardened steel bolt. Only problem we came across was stated about, no power almost no where. Tried wiring it dicrectly and everything lit up where before it didnt, put in line fuse in and then did as stated above, tired direct again and no power again.
