VIN Decode Request
I have a 1979 Ford F250. I would like to have the VIN decoded. Here is what I have.
From the Door
VIN F26HUFC3003
WB 133
Color OA
Type F263
Body BDY
Trans K
Axle B4
1979 55
F0055
T0656
Carb believed to be Motorcraft 4350
D7VEAAA
A 7F 17
Carb kit 910C I think
The motor appears to be a 351M. The PO had the carb half apart on the vehicle. I pulled it and cleaned it a bit and bolted it back together just to see if it would fire. The only way I could get gas into the carb was to go through the vent hole. It fired up right away but as I thought fuel exited the bowl vents so I shut it down.
If connected to the fuel filter nipple, gas would not pass even though the filter itself was missing. Since I didn't have one I put a nice in line filter in. I assume the float is stuck shut.
In addition I did notice that the intake was an Edelbrock Performer square bore, so the idiot PO had no idea what he was doing as the 4350 of course is a spread bore. So the secondaries will never open.
Thanks
