It ain't in the VIN. It's a code on the VIN plate on the door. What is the letters on your VIN plate on the rear of the driver's door where I have boxed in Green (mine is TV .... T= Candyapple Red, V= Medium Silver Poly)
You can tell some stuff from your VIN:

1. First three characters Truck Series Code
F10 - F100 2 Wheel Drive
F11 - F100 4 Wheel Drive
F14 - F150 4 Wheel Drive
F15 - F150 2 Wheel Drive
