Thumbs up Got the cruise control to work!

I decided to figure this out one way or the other. Before attacking the clock spring behind the steering wheel, I give the on/off activation switch a look, pried it apart and lifted the contact off and the two tiny tabs were corroded, one broke when I tried to scrape with a knife blade. Well long story short I took a small wire with me while I drove it and shorted it "on" and pressed the set/accel button and it activated .
Now before I fork over 96 bucks for the switches assembly at the steelership I would like to find out what wires in there control the "on" function so I can mount a small button switch to the back of the steering wheel. If anyone knows which ones I would appreciate it. Thanks, Bill

Just spotted new switches on e-bay for a reasonable sum. I think I'll order one.

Somewhere on here was a website that had bunch of the cruise control parts. I wished I had saved it. I had the same problem with my onoff switch when i first got my truck. Ithink someone had spilt coke in it.
