Well I finally bought a bed for my truck. I am down in Houston for work, and I found the bed up in Dallas.
I picked the bed up for 1600, including the tail gate, tail lights, wiring, bumper, and bumper brackets. That also includes the price to ship the bed back up to Long Island NY.
I am super excited!!!! I have had the truck since Feb. and I have been looking for a bed ever since. Everything in NY is so damn expensive, for this set up back home I was looking at over 3500 bucks.
Thanks for everyone's help who looked around here for me and posted some links to beds.
any interest in selling your flat bed when you are back up in the northeast? we spoke before about a trade. pm me if you have any interest and a price. i was very interested in it, but was afraid to trade a perfect bed when down the road i may need mine. thanks...
Thanks Franko...I think so too. I really have been searching like crazy looking for one, this is honestly hands down the best price I have seen. Plus I got everything. Once I am home in a week in a half ill go pick it up from my buddy's yard, and go get some prices to paint it.
I am not to sure what it would cost to paint the bed? I am hoping its pretty reasonable. Plus there is a few spots I want to fix on the truck. Its gonna be like a whole new truck in a few weeks!!!! I cant wait!
Can anyone shed some light on bed bolts for me? Can I just through bolt it using grade 8 bolts? Or should I just got to the dealer and get the bolts from them?
Could always reuse those factory frame clamp nuts if you can get a bolt to match the threads. Half of mine were crossed and useless, a major pain to get loose too.
