I read that on my 352 the new ps box will hit the exhaust thermactor?
Is this true how have others dealt with this. I'd like to know what I'm up against when I commit to doing the swap. I will be doing a complete Power steering and disc conversion .
No such thing as an exhaust thermactor. Thermactor (T/E = Thermactor Emission) is Fords name for the smog pump setup.
1965/67 F100/350 352's have a heat riser valve on the left (drivers) side between the manifold and the inlet pipe.
If it interfers (dunno if it does or not) you could eliminate the valve...as most rust up within a short time in the open position, so are next to useless.
I have a 1961 Ford F100 292 three speed on the column. I need the housing between the shifter collar and the steering wheel. It houses the bearings and the turn signal switch and the cancel cam. Any help would be great. Thanks... Bill.

Right you are I had the thermactor on my mind cause I want to get rid of it on my truck. Anyway is there a spacer I can get to eliminate the exhaust valve?

1965/67 F100/350 352's used a different left exhaust manifold than 1968/76's as it was made for use with the heat riser valve..
Replace the left manifold with one a these...problem solved.
Ford offered tapered plugs to plug off the thermactor manifold holes in the cylinder heads for FE engines:

What do you mean by "complete" cancel cam? Is it the plate that the T/S handle threads into (separate of the switch)...or the C shaped steel cancel cam tnat mounts on the inside of the steering wheel?
The T/S handle threads into the T/S mounting plate (CODF-13304-A) which was not furnished with the switch on 1961/62 F100/250 2WD's and 1960/62 Falcon/Comets (same-o same-o).
See thread titled: "Signal Cam Issues" in the Uni forum. Same thing applies, NOS sources for the obsolete CODF plate are listed.
You know, I was reading through these posts and I was saying to myself, what the hell are these guys talking about. I know it was a very long time ago since I put my power steering box in, but for the life of me, I could not remember changing out a motor mount support, let alone cutting on it. SO, even though it's one o'clock in the morning, I went out and crawled underneath the hood to take a look see. Sure enough, the tower was cut and a support welded in. I know I must've done the work since I recognize my weld, but it's been so long since I did it, I can't remember actually doing. You do enough welding over the years, you build up enough idiosyncrasies that you can recognize your own welding. Too bad I can't remember putting it in. DAAAAAAA
I think sometime this week I have to put the truck up on the rack and take a walk down memory lane. Guess I should also pick a later model support for when I build a new motor. Than again I'll most likely forget where I stored it by the time I get around to rebuilding it.
