I am converting over to power steering set up on my 66 and I have the 352 FE block and I don;t want to cut the mount. I am looking for a source for the divers side perch I need. I live in the NE and all these trucks have found there was to scrap.
You need the drivers side engine perch from any 73-76 F100/150/250/350 with 360/390 & power steering. You should have pulled it with the other parts from your donor.
Ebay-Shmebay, cruse some yards man, they are not hard to find, but ya gotta get off your butt and go look for them.
John
Thanks John but I don't have the fortune of living where these are around I have called many salvage yards up here and have also been looking on craigslist where I found my donor truck. The search continues, and I am not lazy just looking for some help from those experienced members willing to share.
Bill for folks that don't know what that number means, there are two different left side engine perches. The ones with power steering are cantered to allow the top of the gear to pass, the older ones will hit.

1969/76: There is onlyone left support, since the 1974 part number replaced the 1969 part number.
The left support changed in 1969, because this was the first year that Ford/Saginaw P/S was installed in F100/250 2WD's and F350's, all from serial number D96,001.
1966/68 F100/250 2WD, 1969 F100/250 2WD before serial number D96,001, offered Bendix P/S.
Ford anticapted making the change in 1969, so with either type of P/S in 1969, or without P/S, the support was the same.
There is no left support listed in parts catalogs specific to P/S only.

I am on my second vendor for the mount first one was a nightmare trying to get him to ship it to me. I read that on my 352 the new ps box will hit the exhaust thermactor? Is this true how have others delt with this. I'd like to know what I'm up against when I commit to doing the swap. I will be doing a complete Powersteering and disc conversion .
