Steering Hiss
When I drive over 30 mph, a hissing sound occurs whenever the wheel is turned slightly in either direction, the hissing stops when traveling straight and is barely audible at slower speeds. This sound is exactly like when you rotate the wheel all the way to lock and hold it with firm pressure and the bleeder kicks in. This was a complaint I had when the vehicle was new, took it in several times during warranty and the deaf techs claimed they could never hear it. They would also not drive van fast enough or leave without me riding along. I would like to resolve this problem. This is especially annoying when driving in a cross wind for hours, and passengers also find it irritating. I have a vacuum booster.
