Fuel rail Question
1988 F150 5.0 EFIBeen having some problems with my fuel system,I know its a batch of bad gas- smelled the plugs, -varnish smell.I changed the plugs out with some new ones,But the Truck still wont fire over, seems to catch, but wont, It just turns.I'm hoping I dont have gummed up Injectors from the Bad Gas, and Im ready to take out the injectors, and clean them,SO..I cranked the motor to see if it would start,- Nope.I didnt bother relieving the Fuel pressure by means of the switch under the dash, and decided to depress the Schrader Valve on the Fuel Rail instead.I used a small screw driver, and slowly pushed down on the valve-Nothing but Air came out- No Fuel whatsoever...low pressure too.I was expecting Fuel. Is this an Indication of something like a bad fuel pressure regulator??Anyone familiar with early Fuel systems ? Need a point in the right direction.Thanks.

Your truck has a complicated fuel sytem on it with low pressure pumps in each tank, a high pressure pump on the frame, and a tank selector valve and seperate filter also on the frame, and a problem with any of these will cause low fuel pressure.
