fuel pressure
ive got a 1990 f150 300 6, 5spd, 4x2, was wondering how much fuel pressure it should have and where to test it at, its dual tanks and was also wondering how many fuel pumps it has and where they are

test the fuel pressure at the end of the gas lines that are connected to the injectors, and you test them by simpily by pressing on the tip and seeing if gas comes out, and you should have 2 or 3 fuel pumps for your vehicle, and there usually located near both tanks,a nd 1 after them. Look for them and you will find them.

i have a '89 f-150 w a 300 i6. there is a schreader valve on the fuel rail that goes to the injectors and the fuel lines connect to the rail just before it. i'll have to look it up but it should run @ 55-70 lbs of pressure. either spend the money in a fuel pressure tester at a parts store or try to build one that will screw to the valve and go to a guage. as for the fuel pumps you will have a fuel pump inside each tank with the sending unit and sometimes like mine and have an external pump inside the frame rail either just before the fuel filter or behind it. almost all EFI sys. fuel pumps are in the tanks
