Good afternoon everyone,
I am interested in trying to get better gas economy and power for my 2010 5.4 screw. I put 33's and a leveling kit and lost a considerable bit of gas mileage and pure umffff! Any suggesstions? Anyone have an old one for sale they had on a truck they sold?
I have always had good luck with the Diablosport Predator. Had one on 2 different trucks.
I too had very good luck with the Diablo Sport Predator as well when I had my 2005 FX4, however, there are others that will work, like Mike at 5 Star. Just keep in mind adding a tune will void your warranty if the Ford dealer knows of it. Taking the truck back to stock when taking the truck to the dealer for any service is not a guarantee they won't find out if they go into the pcm. That being said, I'm all for tunes if it is tuned correctly.
there is a website which calculates your new tire size. It says effectively since i increased the tire size, my gear is actually 3.19 now. It also suggests to get back to stock performance, a 3.91 would be good. 4Lo.com :: Tire Size Change, New Gear Ratio Calculator
A 3.91 would be good, if you could find it.
3.73 or 4.10 are going to be your likely choices. The 3.55 will handle what you want to do, but new gears (front and rear if you're 4wd) will run you a massive chunk of change.
