Got my truck back and putting together my parts for a few odds and ends mods...
Is there such thing on an 04 as a built in high idle? I identified my wires (not hooked to anything) but my truck cranks up to about 1k after sitting at reg idle for roughly 2 minutes, kicks back down to reg when you tap the brake... Acts like my high idle is hooked up but no switch and my wires aren't hooked to anything?
Cold weather idle comes to mind. How cold is/was where your at? The truck will idle up when the ambient is below 40F (I think). Once the oil gets above 150F, the truck will idle back down to normal. Assuming the high idle circuit isn't energized.
That sounds dead on ! Didn't realize that was a feature... Outside temp this am was right at +31 f so that wouldve done it I'm assuming... I'll carry on with my mod then.
