need help with engine id

i found a motor on craigslist that is out of a 68 f100.its a 302 with a pete jackson gear drive and comp cams 292 duration and 512 lift for 500. is it worth that the guy said he didnt know how many miles are on it but he said he guaranteed it not to knock or smoke ect. is it a big difference in power from the stock 302 i have now
