Muekstar - I'm confused with Step 3 and 4, testing pins 1 and 4. Step 3 says on/off and step 4 PWM. Am I testing the same pins ??? I hope i'm making sense
one more question, You think i would need to remove the solenoid pack to test or can I just test while its still installed
Wow, where did you get this info from?
I'll take you out to a steak dinner after this. ha!
Thanks meukster
I scanned the info from my ATSG rebuild manual.

I bolded (just above the first attachment) the info about using the PWM (pulse width modulated) version of the test in my post. Sorry, I didn't explain that there were two types of TCC application.
It is pretty difficult to access the connection. If you had a pigtail from a donor vehicle, it could be done more easily while installed.
I looked for the procedure that was sent to me via email (Company wanted the trans shop to follow strict procedure for warrantee coverage), but it was so many years ago, I guess I didn't save it like I thought I had.
Can anyone help this Newbie? I tried to check the resistance on a solenoid block that is out of the transmission. The only reading I get is across the thermostat. All the solenoids read 000. Does that mean all my solenoids are shorted out?
