I have a 1986 F150 302EFI 102,000k 2wd Lariat with the AOD transmission.
Before my grandfather passed and left me the truck he did have someone service the transmission "fluid changed, bands adjusted"
It seems to shift really hard, almost a clunk like sound(all gears).
When driving in OD and getting off the gas it feels almost like an engine brake is applied. then at around 35(??)mph it downshift and feels more like the coast you would feel in a newer vehicle.
I show no codes when scanning with engine on/off. And sometime after driving and then placing in reverse the truck will shut down.
