distributor oiling

Has anyone had trouble with galling/burning on the top bushing of the dizzy? It's happened to two of them. Seems like not enough oil supply but I don't see why.

Don't know which year engine you have, but some used to have a gauze pad in the center of the shaft that needed to be oiled with a few drops of motor oil on a regular basis, to keep things happy. The point arm also needed chassis lube to keep it's cam follower lubed.

Are you using the specified oil filter, viscosity & grade motor oil???

Actually it's an MSD street billet and an accel. The problem is in the bronz bushing on the top of the shaft, under all the works.
