Last night i went to Yankee Lake the local mudding place. I got stuck in the parking lot because 4 wheel wouldnt kick in! I just bought new hubs and it worked last winter. I locked my hubs and turned the dash **** and nothing. But when i made a sharp turn i could feel it binding in the front end. Anyone have any ideass?
I'm currently fighting the same issue. My truck stopped going into 4Low. It sounds like yours may be doing the same thing. The windshield gasket leaked and let water into the dash and onto the fuse box. It shorted out the GEM Module. The GEM Module controls the 4X4 [shift on the fly], and alot of other major functions of the truck. The mechanic who's working on it says that it is a common problem for these trucks. The TSB [tech service bulletin] says to use RTV Sealant, top, sides, and bottom of windshield gasket. I want to try to put some rubber or plastic under the dash to try to redirect any water and hopefully prevent it from doing it again, if it starts leaking again.
