Angry Front Brake Caliper

Tried to replace my front brake pads recently and one of the pistons on the right side caliper refused to retract far enough to allow enough room for both pads to go on. Am I missing something? Why will both pistons not retract completely? Could this piston be malfunctioning? the outside pad on this wheel still has some life but the inside was worn down to the metal. I suspect the piston may be sticking and caused the inside pad to wear quicker. I had not noticed the truck pulling though. I have not changed the driver side pads yet to see if this problem persists. I plan to tackle that side tomorrow. Any suggestions?

had that happen to me once on a 95 F150...the caliper was frozen and not contracting back, causing the pads to wear out extremely fast...I'd recommend a quick stop by AutoZone for a new caliper....easy to fix.
