PRETTY SLUGGISH

I have an '89 BII that feels and sounds like it's pulling a load when I'm driving it. RPM's run normal for the speeds I'm going. Is this just the norm? Maybe I'm overreacting; otherwise I am really enjoying this vehicle.

You might check the rear brakes, they self adjust and can over adjust.

Thanks, I'll check that out; would I eventually smell the friction if that were the issue?

You may smell it. I had an '85 that happened with, but it was during winter with wet weather so it wasn't apparent. Also be sure to run some searches in the previous posts. There is a lot of useful info there from those who have experienced all the problems that these vehicles can present.
