No electrical/Start

My starter went up in a puff of smoke a week or so ago, so after replacing it and checking to see that the battery is still good am not able to start the truck or run anything IE headlights, stereo ect. Does anyone have any idea if theres any kind of fuse that may cause the whole truck to act as though its not receiving any juice?

You blew a fusible link, there's 2 or 3 coming off the battery side of the starter solenoid.

He'd still have power to the rest of the truck though.

Nope, replaced the fuseible link and dropped in a new battery still it won't start or run any electrical. When you first put the key in and turn it oyu get the alt light and the brake indicator then as soon as you hit the headlights or try and start it all the electrical dies and I can't get anything more then 1 click from the starter.

Smile electrical problem

Sir, You may have a battery cable that is burned internally, also make sure the ground cables are connected to the engine and have a good connection to the body and how good is the battery, have it load tested.Kenny Nunez
