What can i get away with ? I have no cat, part or full ?? Im not looking to be the fastest on the block.
I just want a little more milage and a liitle more power while towing.
Need something that is going to work with DP when it gets here..

I hear great things about both. what do you guys use ? Im hearing the DP make a little more low end motor rattle/knock sound ? Is this True and why ?. is it from doing major mods that i will never do ?
I know about the Torque converter knocking.

I have no knowledge of the other tuners, but I really like my DP F6. Jody emailed me a re-tune for the dynamics of the HD4R100 and everything does as advertised. I do hear a little more knock in the custom driving tunes, but more power has to make more noise - that's physics. I now call my stock tune "stealth mode" and it does have its uses, but my economy tune has the most miles on it. Decel tune is absolutely amazing on the steepest highway grades I could find in the West (7% grade). I actually have to give light throttle to keep my speed up.
I finally got a chance to drive my truck today after installing the 4" turbo back exhaust this weekend.
I Took the day off because of the rain and had to run to UPS to send stuff. Knowing my truck. I could tell after installing the 6637.
The truck had just a bit more low/mid power. Not much that someone else would notice.
But i must say this exhaust works.. I can tell a difference and my girlfriend noticed also. There is a lot more of a low/mid and top end range.
My truck All stock felt as if it flattened out around 2900 rpm's at WOT under load.
My truck now seems to run better and a little smoother. It now pulls good from low/mid and now flattens off at about 3300 rpm's
Makes me wonder if the stock muffler was getting plugged up or if this is a normal thing installing a 4" exhaust.
I did notice that the EGT's are down about 200+
Ordered My DP Tuner this morning.
Im Just going with the 60/80 tow for my hauler, Decell and 60/80 eco.
Everything else is stock and i have no plans to do more to my truck in the future..
My 4" exhaust will be the last of my mods, but it slid to the back burner until I get some other stuff squared away: Replace my stereo (again), get the engine analyzer, and replace the windshield that popped last week in a blizzard.
Believe me when I tell you, the economy tunes won't leave you feeling "Cool... I can notice a difference". What you will feel is "OMG! This truck can do that!?! Everybody should try this!!".
Well it's here and installed..
I put it in and went to start it up and NO GO!!!
So I pulled the pcm back out. I guess when i was taping the plug down, I somehow pulled it out. Plugged it back in and everything Good !!!!
only got a trip around the block tonight in 80 eco. Wow what a difference.. We will see after work tomorrow how the other run..
