Grey grease splatter?

Grey grease splatter?
Hey guys was under the truck today changing the oil and found something odd. It looks like there is grey grease splattered on the driver's side coil and on the inside of the tire. It doesn't appear to be gear oil it's more like the consistency of JB Weld after you mix it all up. What could this be??? 2004 F150 4x4 SCREW (new body style) 5.4

Your CV joint boot has a hole in it somewhere. Had the same thing occur on the passenger side of my ride. I ended up replacing the CV joint, which was bad and how I discovered the grease in the first place and it was easier than replacing the boot and the cost wasn't too much, I paid $52 for the joint from Rock Auto and it was easy to do (if you have the tools and the mechanical inclination).
