Yup, just thought I'd share here also and give back a little to a site and the members I've learned from and and get some additional feedback.
So, the engine came out, stripped the acessories, discovered it was a remanufactured engine from Ford, pulled a few bearing caps, everything looked good so we installed alll new gaskets and seals, turned the flywheel, new clutch and painted it up..

Yep it's a disease for sure, I currently have 4 trucks, my buddy has 4 or 5, we just started buying a few for parts and one thing lead to another, here's a pic during the height of our stockpile of 73-79 stuff. We also had a few 67-72's and a few 65-66's. most of them have been stripped of the good parts and sold off. We still have a few parts left though.
I think I'm gonna hang onto the caps for now, I have the original wheels as well. Going to keep it all in case I ever decide to return it to absolute original. If I change my mind, I'll let you know.
Thanks for the info Numberdummy, if I ever do an exact resto, I'll paint it factory corect. I just finished up my 66 grille install so I guess the engine sorta matches now,
Next up was presure washing the entire under carriage and engine bay, wire wheel, ospho, then George painted it all. Just wanted to stop the rust and make it look a little better than it did, I thought it turned out pretty nice and it's held up fairly well.
SWEET!!...I like it when it's all perdy like that! That's why I don't drive mine in the rain
if possible? don't want road grime messin up my shiny frame, I know one day it will happen but not intentionally...
