Lightbulb Cab light install-electrical

I recently installed some Recon cab lights but before I did I searched FTE for install information. I found great stuff telling me all the measurements, placement, etc. What I couldn't find was the electrical portion.

I guess the the OEM lights come with the plug that you can connect to harness in the passenger side of the truck, but the Recon ones don't. After you get the holes drilled and the lights installed on the truck ruck the wire down the passenger side A-pillar, behind the dash and glovebox and to the harness behind the passenger side kick-panel.

The below 3 pictures show:
1) The harness under the passenger side kick-panel that has the wire you want to tap into;

2) You want the brown wire on the back side of the harness;

3) Strip away a little of the wire sheath and wrap the end of the incoming wire around it

New post to finish up here.

The next 3 pictures show:

1) Throw a little solder on there to make the connection solid;

2) Wrap the soldered wire with electrical tape then wrap the whole bundle to keep everything neat; and

3) Here's the finished product.

I just crimped on a pin socket and stuck it on the pin for that same wire. A little easier to do, but maybe not as permenant.
